Delay

Here is the most recent information from FTIA. They are supportive and really understand how their parents are feeling. Unfortunately, it is not good news. At this point I am tired. It's been a long wait and we thought we were almost done. Right now I cannot even speculate when we will get our daughters information. My arms ache. I just want to hold and comfort her.

I wanted to send an email to check in to see how you are doing. I know some days of the wait is ok, but some can be difficult. Please know I am here if you need me. All is still fairly quiet with the next group of referrals. We have heard that referrals may be sent out maybe by the very end of this month or early in November. The other bit of news is that the CCAA may only be able to finish up with the March LID families they still have to match. This next group may only include the remainder of March LID for those agencies that still have March families waiting. This is not confirmed information but based on "informal" communication with the CCAA.

I know this is not the news you wanted to hear from me at this point. I did want to let you know so that you might try to prepare if the next group does not include referrals for families with April LID. It is normal to see time frames fluctuate over the year so we do not think this is a problem. On the contrary, actually the number of dossiers submitted and children adopted from China has increased over the past several months. It is wonderful to see so many children being adopted from China. I know though that it is hard when this means it is taking a bit more time to send out referrals. It is hard to say at this point if only March LID are included in this next group, when the CCAA will send out referrals for April LID. It is also hard to know if the CCAA will continue to split the months. I wish I had more to share. When we have more, I will keep you posted.

I wanted to email as I would hate to call and have you think this was "the call" only to disappoint you. However, please call me if you want or need to. Please feel free to touch base with me if you have questions or need anything at all, even a bit of extra support.

House for Sale

We now have our house in Milford on the market to sell. It was a long and grueling battle to declutter, but we finally won. The POD is packed tight and ready to move. We close on Friday 10/21. We should have about 2 weeks to work on the new house before we move in and get to unpack it all :) We appreciate everyone's prayers. Thank you!

Referrals came in early this month and include dates through March 23rd. I am under the realization that we won't get Maelynn's information in the next batch. It is hard to know you will probably be cut. I expect referrals from 3/24-4/27 to be in the next batch. With our date being 4/29, we will probably travel with the May group vs the April group.

Today we are going to Young’s Dairy Farm
http://www.youngsdairy.com/ . We are meeting a family from Dayton who have the same log in date as us with FTIA. That means we'll be traveling together. They have a 3 yr old they adopted from China already. We're meeting so the kids can start getting to know each other since Logan is going to China with us. I started chatting with Jennifer Romick at the end of last month. They went to Chicago the same weekend we did too. The paths of our two families seem quite similar. I look forward to sharing the lives of our two new daughters together.

By the way, Chicago was great. We went up to see 'Wicked' for our anniversary. Logan spent the weekend with Oma and Opa. We saw Mike and Jenn Ciok too. We went for pizza at Pizzeria Duo and then to Navy Pier. What a neat city! I love Garrett’s popcorn!

Life is good. God bless you and have a great weekend!
