3 Months Down!

We are possibly half way there! In July, FTIA received the rest of December and all of January referrals. Now remember, ours is late April. We could get Maelynn's information in October or November! Aunt Rita, I don't think we'll have her when you visit, but we may have her picture!

In July we went to Anderson, IN for the FTIA reunion. WOW! There were a lot of folks there! It was a nice vacation for the 3 of us. We even got to see a musical called 'Copacabana'. Erich, a huge Barry fan, was in Heaven!

Erich's show is going Great! He's in Godspell with Eastside Players in Blue Ash. It only runs one more weekend, August 11, 12, and 13. It's a lot of fun to go to. I took Logan, and some of my sisters kids this weekend. They all behaved so well!

My card adventure is going well. I have stamp camps in our home 2x a month. I enjoy the creative outlet. It also allows me to be home, earn some money, and tuck Logan into bed at night.

NEW DEVELOPMENT: After much consideration and consultation with our social worker, we are moving! Our plan was to move in the spring to Sharonville/Blue Ash area. With church, theatre, friends, and more family out that way, it just makes sense. We are driving that way 3-5 days a week anyhow. This way we can get Logan settled and in a new routine before we bring his sister home. Also, we only have to move Maelynn once. It will provide her with more stability. Our goal is to be moved and settled by October 1st. This should definitely keep us busy!

There is so much she is not getting where she is now - Nurturing, touch, personal attention. We can only pray she's with a foster family. However, the majority of children are in the orphanage. They sleep in a room with lots of other children. Maelynn will probably sleep in our room for the first few months. That way she won't feel alone and we can comfort her easier. We will need to coddle her a little more than other children since she's missed so much in life already. I'm told some 2 year olds are not even walking when you get them! The children in the Chinese orphanages are behind developmentally, but they do catch up quickly once given that one on one attention.

With much love,

Robin
