House Found!!

We found a house in Sharonville!! Woot!!! The inspection is scheduled for Tuesday and we look to close October 25th. Yeah!!! Now we pack, pack, pack and get the house on the market. Anyone want to move to Milford? I happen to know a great realtor. Aunt Dottie's the best!

Less Patient and More Frustrated

OK, it's been awhile since I've posted. I am getting frustrated! I was discouraged to see no referrals in August. FTIA did get them in at the beginning of September, but only through the 3rd week of February. You see, we have to wait for the families who have log in dates before us (ours is 4/29/05) to get their referrals before we get ours. Apparently the agency gets referrals about every 5 weeks. When they do, it will cover the remaining month and 2-3 weeks of the next month. After analyzing and reanalyzing and checking with other waiting families, we may not get her information (referral), until December! Yea, I know, great Christmas present. I should be more grateful and happy than I feel. However, the scenario playing out in my head was we may be traveling to get her in December. I know, I know. God's timing, not mine. It is so much easier to say it than grab hold and relish in it.

Another frustration, still no house. We will keep looking. If we don't find one in the next month or so, we'll wait until Spring/Summer. I know, I know. The longer the referral is off, the longer we have to find a house. Charming. It's a good thing RCIA is meeting again! The continuing faith I receive from the meetings will get me through.

In November I start classes at Scarlet Oaks (vocational school) for Chinese language classes. I am excited to see that they offer and how much I can absorb.

We had a great visit with Kurt and Jenn in August. Kurt's show was a lot of fun. It was a nice vacation. We got out of there at the right time though. Katrina hit the next day and Jenn's worked just about every day since. She works for the Red Cross in Montgomery, AL. They are the closest open branch to the Gulf. Please keep Jenn, her co-workers, and Kurt (support) in your prayers as they continue their much needed efforts! Thank you!
